The sum of moments in life all add up in different ways, in different combinations, and at different times. Today, as the business of architecture and urban design drives the thought out of the work and ultimately out of the quality of our lives we mourn the loss of one of our most important urban thinkers.

I will remember your drawings, your critique of my work, conversations that cut through the hub-bub and got to ‘what really matters’, and most of all your demeanor. Thank you for the marks you’ve left in the world…I know you had planned on making many more.
